SRINAGAR: A 70-year-old man from central Kashmir’s Srinagar district passed away in Makkah during circumambulation around the Holy Kaaba.
An official said that Ghulam Mohammad Wani, a resident of Zewan Police Colony in Srinagar, passed away in Makkah during circumambulation around the Holy Kaaba.
Wani, in his 70s, suffered a fatal cardiac arrest. His funeral was performed in absentia in Zewan Police Colony at 3 PM today.
Wani was the father of Sayaar Ahmad Wani and Zahoor Ahmad Wani, both serving in the police department.
Meanwhile, many religious and political organizations extend condolences, praying for solace to the departed soul.
