Uttarakhand: Christians assaulted by far-right Hindu leader

A group of Christians were harassed and assaulted in Jhajra, Uttarakhand, by Hindu far-right leader Radha Semwal Dhoni over the allegations of religious conversion.

In a video shared by Dhoni on Facebook, she can be seen beating a Christian woman.

“I will crush you like potatoes… you come to our localities as teachers but later convert our children,” she tells the Christian group in the video.

“Anyone playing with our Hindu religion and sentiments will be met with the same treatment,” Dhoni said in the Facebook post. Dhoni is a member of the Hindu Yuva Vahini, a group incorporated by Yogi Adityanath.
